The video above was filmed in September 2025 at the Large Motion Simulator (LMS) at MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands), where we tested key elements of our offshore operations, together with our partners Royal Wagenborg and Imodco (part of the SBM Offshore Group), Conoship International, NaviForm Consulting and Research Ltd. It captures the energy, innovation, and dedication driving our team forward.

‘2025 has been a truly transformative year for us’.

Ludo van Hijfte | CEO Carbon Collectors

2025 has been a truly transformative year for us. A year in which our vision for practical, scalable CO₂ logistics took major steps toward reality.

PGGM as new investment partner

One of the most defining moments in 2025 was welcoming PGGM Investments , on behalf of Pensioenfonds Zorg & Welzijn (PFZW), as our investment partner. PGGM has also acquired the exclusive right to invest up to €200 million as project equity, enabling us to finalize the design of our system and move confidently toward building our first projects. It’s a powerful vote of confidence in our technology, our team, and our mission to make carbon capture and storage accessible for hard‑to‑abate industries across Europe.

Intensified collaboration with supply chain partners and industrial clients

Throughout the year, we intensified collaboration with our supply chain partners, deepening technical design work and aligning on the components that will bring our purpose‑built detachable stern vessels and Direct Offshore Injection system to life. Together, we’ve pushed boundaries, solved complex engineering challenges, and strengthened the foundation for a fully redeployable CO₂ transportation and injection solution.

At the same time, we worked closely with industrial clients across Europe to develop tailor‑made logistical concepts that meet their decarbonization needs. These partnerships reaffirm our belief that CCS must be flexible, scalable, and grounded in real‑world operational requirements — and that our approach can accelerate climate action where it’s needed most.

Testing key elements of our offshore operations

Looking back, we’re proud to share a glimpse of the exciting work happening behind the scenes. The video above was filmed in September at the Large Motion Simulator (LMS) at MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands), where we tested key elements of our offshore operations, together with our partners Royal Wagenborg and Imodco (part of the SBM Offshore Group), Conoship International, NaviForm Consulting and Research Ltd. It captures the energy, innovation, and dedication driving our team forward.

Ready for a new exciting year

Early February, we kicked-off the new year by contracting IMODCO Terminals SA for the FEED-work on our Tower Offloading Unit (TOU) (press release here). We continue to work tirelessly with our partners, clients, colleagues, and the broader CCS community to advance solutions in the fight against climate change. Together we are building momentum for a cleaner, more resilient future.
